The Mechanic

Breakfast Sandwich

Josh hit me up this morning, to convince me to take Telsa to the park. After dragging my ass to get out of bed, Tesla fed, and dressed to go, I met with him, Mimi, and Lucy to let the dogs play, while we walked around. The dogs had fun, and we just walked and chatted for a while. We discussed things like ideas for other Journal covers, with some of our photography.

After the park, I got home and did a little bit more job hunting, while figuring out how to fix the errors on my Notebooks, so that they could get published. Looks like it may be a little longer before I can post them up here.

I sat around watching tv for a bit, while making a breakfast sandwich for lunch. I’ve been using this Hamilton Beach dual breakfast sandwich maker, to make quick meals for breakfast. I like to mix my egg with Cotija cheese, 1 Tsp of milk, and a dash of Truff hot sauce, and diced red onion.

After sitting for a bit and hanging out, I got up to take the car to Pep-Boys. Josh met me there, to pick me up and go to Sprouts. At Sprouts, we looked for more of the products he had free and bogo coupons for. I got a couple packs of Bubbies Mochi, a snack stick, and some of their apple cinnamon drizzled granola. The granola was freaking amazing.

After that, Josh and I came back home and hung out for a bit, until Ces got home. While hanging out, I got a call from the mechanic. Evidently, everything appears to be fine on the electrical system. They said the alternator is meeting standards, as is the starter, and everything else. They said the positive cable was loose on the post. Maybe that was the whole cause of it. I’m not a professional, but sounds reasonable that a loose positive connection would result in a severely decreased returned charge. (Ooopie doopie) Thankfully I got the battery replaced with a brand new one, the day prior.

They did, however, say that my breaks were almost metal on metal, in the rear. (LoL. Yeeeeah, it’s been a minute since I had that done on my car.) So I told them to definitely get that done, cuz I need it before next inspection. In addition to that, they’re going to replace the interior driver-side handle. (I literally have to put my thumb on the pivot point, so that it doesn’t fully break. So instead, I roll down the window and open the door from the outside. LMAO!) The dude was cool enough to say they could install the replacement latch I’ve had sitting in the cup holder for years. (Yeeeeeeaaaaah, sorry Josh. Just never got around to installing it myself.) In addition to all that, they said they’re gonna look further into the possible cause of the freaking moisture collecting in my carpet. Because if this keeps up, I’m going to wind up with mildew problems this year. I really don’t want that to happen.

Ces got home and Josh started to head out back to his place. We hung out and had dinner. We had some Barilla Protein+ Farfalle covered in this Pesto & Pepper Chevre we picked up from Swede Farm at the Memorial Villages Farmers’ Market. It was pretty tastey. We sat and watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+ followed by a few more episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, before she went to bed.

I didn’t stay up much longer, either. I just hopped onto Neverwinter to grab my key, and then finish the daily Harvester of Nightmares event, and then just went to sleep. This week’s been too much.
