Woke up Monday and didn’t really have the energy to take Tesla to the park. I woke up and basically hung out for a bit around the house. I had a pack of smoked salmon left, so I decided to make myself a breakfast salmon burger using sesame seed brioche, Tillamook spreadable cheese with onions and chives, capers, arugula, red onion, smoked salmon, and a fried egg. It came out freaking delicious!
After breakfast I booted up the PC and started searching online for some work. I’ve been looking for Scrum Master, Project Owner, and Product Owner positions, but now I’m basically trying to look into anything I’ll qualify for. I found an opening to be a Product Manager at Blizzard, which would be freaking dope. I also applied to a bunch of other entry level positions.
After a bit, I got up to get the rest of the day started. Cuz of last week’s stress, I was definitely going to go get my back cracked. I headed over to the chiro to get an adjustment, and wound up getting stuck on traffic that took almost a freaking hour to get to! (I forgot to exit early due to road work on our regular travel route.)
After that, I headed out to go home. I took a little detour and went to Kroger. I decided to park in front of the Pet Supplies Plus to go in and take a look. Sadly, I forgot that the location nearest us doesn’t carry Fussy Cat, so I wasn’t able to get the cat’s food.
After that I decided to walk all the way down to Goodwill, and then hit some stores on the way back.
At Goodwill, I looked around for a bit. I didn’t find too many good finds, but when I got back up to the front to check the glass case, I found something totally awesome.
It’s an unopened copy of the Final Fantasy IX promo disc that I believe was given with preorders of the game. I managed to snag this for $2.15, which was pretty exciting.
After that, I walked down the strip back to Pet Supplies Plus, and I decided to stop off at this place called Gem Mint Cards. They sell sports cards, Yugi-Oh singles, and Pokemon TCG singles. (Too bad they don’t have any Magic the Gathering cards.)
I also stopped off at the veterinary clinic that’s in the strip. I decided to poke my head in, to see if they were looking for help. I had been doing a lot of thinking, and it’s beginning to feel like if I can’t actually get a job again, in IT, then I may need to try to fallback on my earlier skillsets, like when I worked for Banfield.
I was thankful to have met the technician that was there, as he seemed like a like-minded individual. I explained my situation, and he empathized because he’s in a similar situation, being a recent college grad. He asked if I had a resume, which I explained that I didn’t have one catered to Veterinary, so I’d have to create one to bring in.
There’s also an optometrist office in the strip, that I stopped in to check with them, too. They offered me an application, asking that I bring it back filled out. On the plus side with this optometrist, they’re not open on the weekends, so that’s a plus.
After that, I stopped off at Kroger to pick something up, and then headed home. When I got home, I got things done around the house for Ces to come home.
We hung out and watched a Christmas movie before she had to go to bed for work. After she went to sleep, I hopped on to run more Warzone 2.0 with Canadian. It was pretty fun, and we had some great games!
Currently it appears like Expression Engine is the best blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?
